Real-world topics in game format.
A good challenge hooks you, sparks curiosity and keeps you coming back. That's why we at Pollcast turn real-world topics into games. A game invites people to take part and return for more. That's the power of gamification. And once people start playing, they stick around.
Engage. Involve. Retain.
Whether it's legislation, healthcare policy or climate dilemmas — we translate them into clear, playable language without losing the nuance.
An experience that keeps people coming back and gets them talking — on your platform, in the classroom, at work or at home.
Discover how your audience thinks about the issues that matter. Useful insights for editorial, policy, research or brand strategy.
Who we build for
Boost reader engagement with interactive content around the stories that matter — politics, climate, culture or sport. Link articles directly to the game.
Engage citizens, members or target groups around policy, campaigns or awareness. From municipalities to charities: a game makes your message tangible.
Make lessons interactive — from civics and history to biology and economics. Students learn by making choices and seeing how they compare.
Collect valuable data on public opinion, preferences or behaviour. Usable for research, market polling or brand activation with a unique twist.

Selected work
Two examples from the political-legal domain. The same format works for any theme, from climate and healthcare to sport and culture.
About us
Pollcast was founded by two Bennises across two generations. Martijn Bennis is Nando's father's brother — Nando's uncle.

Martijn started in 1995 as an economics editor at Algemeen Dagblad. In 2003 he founded the agency RedactiePartners, which produced digital content for publishers. After its sale to FD Mediagroep he became director of ANP in 2017, a role he held until the end of 2024. Since then he has been an entrepreneur and board member at SVDJ and ProDemos.

Nando has been building apps and games since the age of ten. In 2011 he won a hackathon with Twitquiz and pitched the idea to Dom Sagolla, co-founder of Twitter. Many apps later, Nando has grown into one of the Netherlands' leading concept developers. He is also the creative mind behind WeTicket.
For game production, Pollcast has an exclusive partnership with Pinch, part of UK-based Apadmi. Pinch builds apps for publishers like Mediahuis, FD Mediagroep and DPG.
Apadmi Benelux director Tim Klein Haneveld saw the potential of public-interest games for publishers and educational institutions, and signed an agreement letting both sides grow together. As a result, Pollcast counts people like Anne Hoevens (coordinator), John van der Vaart (back-end developer), Pepijn Wildbret (designer) and Roel Orth (front-end developer) among its team.
